Car Clean Palmdale

Owning a car impacts the environment quite a bit, but you can actively try to lessen that impact by cleaning it in an eco-friendly way! In fact, some people may believe that washing your car in an eco-friendly way takes a lot of extra time and effort when, in reality, that’s not the case! Keeping your car clean in a green way is as easy and convenient as the services we offer here at Royal Spa Carwash. As long as you know what you can do and you plan accordingly, you can do it with no stress.

  1. Go to the Car Wash
If you really want to help the environment, going to a commercial car wash is your best bet. At these facilities, they are required to treat the dirty water and they have high pressure pumps so they can use less water to get the job done well. They are also a pretty convenient option compared to having to do it yourself. If you wash it at home, the dirty water can end up in a storm drain which would pollute the surrounding streams and rivers.
  2. Use Biodegradable Soap
If you have to wash your own car at home, try to find biodegradable soap! If you use soap that has harmful chemicals in it, the soap could harm the wildlife that it comes in contact with. Biodegradable soap is a lot less harmful and you will get a peace of mind knowing you are doing your part to help the animals.
  3. Use a Water Spray Gun
A huge issue that people run into when washing their cars at home is wasting water. To limit your water usage, don’t use a hose and try a water gun instead. This way you can keep track of how much water you are using and you can be a little more accurate.
  4. Wash Your Car on Gravel or Grass
To prevent the dirty water from getting into your nearby storm drains, park your car on a patch of grass or gravel. The water won’t run off your driveway, it will soak down into the ground, preventing the water from getting to the streams.
  5. Dump Dirty Water in the Toilet or Sink
When you are finished washing your car and you have a bucket of dirty water, don’t dump it in the street! Dump the water in your sink or toilet because all the water in your house will get treated.
  6. Use Baking Soda
To clean the inside carpeted areas of your car, sprinkle some baking soda and wait 15 minutes before you vacuum. This will freshen up the interior and you can even mix it with a few drops of your favorite essential oil.
  7. Mix Olive Oil and Lemon Juice
If you mix olive oil and lemon juice together and then put it in a squirt bottle, you can clean any hard surfaces in the interior of your vehicle. Spray the dashboard and center console, then wipe it away with a clean rag. This natural mixture will keep your car shining and smelling great without the need for harmful chemicals.
  8. Clean Your Windows With Vinegar
To clean your windows, spray some vinegar onto them and wipe it with a clean rag. You will be able to see perfectly out of your window all while being eco friendly!
